You still sound like a sooky babe crying and envious bludger to me - Though granted; Your Daddy probably wasn't.
My daughter hates it she is so overtired when she gets back. They are treated like school children and people leave all the time. There is really poor staff morale. They earn their money. It is totally unsustainable over the long term, IMO.
She also tells a very differnt story to Jimbo she says everyone she knows is saving and paying down theri mortgages as they know this is a one off opportunity. Maybe she runs with a different crowd up there. She says no one thinks the big money will last no one.
Definition of a doom and gloomer from 1993 The last camp is made up of the doom-and-gloomers. Their slogan is "it's the end of the world as we know it". Right now they are convinced that debt is the evil responsible for all our economic woes and must be eliminated at all cost. Many doom-and-gloomers believe that unprecedented debt levels mean that we are on the precipice of a worse crisis than the Great Depression. The doom-and-gloomers hang on the latest series of negative economic data.
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$ It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do. Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.

That is the case now because they realise that the party is coming to an end. A few years ago, it was going on forever and that is how FIFO was treated by many.
Many people became trapped in FIFO and I have spoken to some who only intended to do a six month stint but they got so used to the money, they couldn't stop. They are the ones who become depressed.
Many times, it is the spouse at home who becomes the driver. Suddenly her hubby who was pulling in a grand a week at home is earning four grand a week away. The kids start going to private school, she wants a bigger house, better car. The bloke hates the FIFO but doesn't want to let his family down.
My own way of treating FIFO is that every penny I earn over and above my normal wage is a one off bonus. We splash a bit of it around, but most goes into the bank. I know many however, who have built their lives on earning the same money until they retire. That was never going to happen.
I am lucky in that FIFO is something I do as part of my Perth based job. I do a few months here and there. My longest stints were in China at six and nine months. I always knew it was a part time thing and I have never relied on it.

I think it can be a case of some bullying type men who take pleasure in treating some like crap, especially by those who think they know it all & always have an answer for everything
Sometime you men do treat others inhumanely.

The tiredness is the real killer Skamy. It's important to run with a job with a roster that minimises it.
As to the rest, you need a good boss. And preferably at least one other dude on site you can call a genuine mate - IMO.

No disrespect Herbie. I know there are downsides to FIFO like missing your kids birthdays and so on, but the benefits in my opinion, far outweigh the disadvantages.
I know a haul pack driver who has a fvck off great big house and goes to Bali five times a year. He moans about FIFO all the time and tells me how hard it is. But he owns a fu(k off great big house and goes to Bali five times a year?
I feel sorry for those who got trapped in the way of life (which is many from my experience) but no one is holding a gun to anyones head and forcing them to do it.
