Australia is on the way to having its lights punched out. The mad pursuit of profit will lead to the death of a nation no longer able to police itself.

Rampant visa fraud and migration crime involving people flying into Australia are going unchecked while the government focuses on stopping boats, according to secret government files detailing entrenched Immigration Department failings.
The confidential Immigration Department files reveal repeated internal warnings over several years that widespread visa fraud is "business as usual yet remains largely untreated" because the department's investigation and enforcement capacity has collapsed.
Secret departmental operations have estimated that as many as nine in 10 skilled migrant visas may be fraudulent, while an internal inquiry into Afghan visa applicants in 2012 assessed that more than 90 per cent of cases contained "fraud of some type" and raised "people smuggling, identity fraud, suspected child trafficking and national security implications".

So for a few years now, probably longer, both governments have been ignoring it.
Maybe they should just stop immigration before our quality and way of life is ruined any further .
do you know how much they charge for a visa ? some even pay lawyers to get help with their visa. i've heard from someone about $12000 figure just for the lawyer fees. i've heard some paid $10000 for their visa. most pay a few $1000. the government makes big money with the visa business. and since the low unemployment, big lack of skilled workers thing is largely exaggerated, those disillusioned migrants who fly back are soon replaced by new migrants. so the visa business keeps going. they are not about to cut the migration flow soon moreover, unless australians start having 3,4 children per household, they have to make the population artificially grow with foreign migrants to keep property prices going up.
Crazy and what pissed me off is that those who got these visa by paying $30k and corrupting officials are not going to have their visa/PR revoked. it should be an immediate and automatic sanction for corrupting migration agent/DIMA officials.
Where is the risk then ? and at the same time we are placing children in concentration camps for life (but no pictures, move along)
A culture that cannot enforce law and order is on the way down. Corruption spreads like a cancer and produces ever more poisonous by-products. Eventually when the decay has gone far enough, grotesque movements like ISIS crawl out of the social rubble.
The next trick of our glorious banks will be to charge us a fee for using net bank!!! You are no longer customer, you are property!!!
