Don't forget though that your gold can be *stolen* - completely. Then it's gonski. You can also be ripped off buying physical via puire fraud. No asset class is withiout risk.
Don't forget the risk of the gold not being real

Gold keeps quite well in water..
Matthew, 30 Jan 2016, 09:21 AM Your simplistic view is so flawed it is not worth debating. The current oversupply will be swallowed in 12 months. By the time dumb shits like you realise this prices will already be :?: rising.

But if you wore the gold on a chain, around your neck, you will experience neither gains nor losses regardless of what the gold price does :to:

Maybe you would experience a little lightheadedness and lowered libido?

Don't forget that you're house can burn down! It happens all the time, and we read about those people who lose it all and get left with only a block of dirt. Are you potentially one of those idiots?

You better look into that. Just buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of an asset class is pretty silly if you don't protect it you know. Bears are suspicious by nature and often distrusting by nature. They usually protect their assets very well. Bulls on the other hand are eternally optimistic and quite often get gulled into all sorts of silly behavior.

I even know of one who unwittingly bought investment properties in a flood plain. I guess he was too trusting of the Real Estate agent and didn't do his own research.

Pretty typical of the losses they have taken in depot hill, I saw a lot worse examples there on that website though.

I feel pity for frank too. He was probably a decent beer-swilling tradesman once, before he bought into the get rich quick scheme. Those property spukers at the seminar really did a job on his simple little mind. Now he wastes his time scavenging through other people's rubbish to keep himself busy. He should have stayed on the tools as they say.

Shadow was hopelessly wrong about the Gold Bull Market.
What else is he wrong about?

We all know your (sic) up to your eyeballs in debt
Who is the 'we'? - speak for yourself.

Frank has stated he is not up to his eyeballs in debt and nothing he's posted indicates he's telling porkies.

"They" have a talent for knowing ever bodies financial situation without knowing anything of the sort. It truly is a wondrous attribute that "they" have been gifted with.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis. Topics unsuitable for the main forum may be discussed in the lounge.
