Mate, your in your own little world, and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. YOUR arguments are even dismissing the arguments of the 97% scientific consensus you keep talking about, who claim that warming will continue unabated due to rising CO2 levels.
The trend will be a warming but that will be disguised at times by a cooling of the oceans as the ice melts. That effect will depend largely on the speed of that melt.

You and shadow claim that temperatures are not rising and that refutes the claims of global warming, but for me that's a worrying sign.

The CSIRO hold this view:

1. Australian temperatures are projected to continue to increase, with more extremely hot days and
fewer extremely cool days.

2. Average rainfall in southern Australia is projected to decrease, and heavy rainfall is projected to increase over
most parts of Australia.

3. Sea-level rise and ocean acidification are projected to continue.

Peter Fraser you really are insane.

You are talking about latent heat like you actually know what it means. I remember learning about latent heat in highschool physics. It is how airconditioners work. Latent heat exchange is associated with a state change; i.e., solid to liquid, gas to liquid, liquid to solid, etc.

Therefore, if the hidden warming has been absorbed by latent heat we would expect two things, 1) sea ice turning to sea liquid, and 2) sea liquid turning to water vapour. Given that sea ice is actually increasing, and in some cases sea ice is at record highs we must rule out option 1. And I have not seen any science that suggests that there is an increase in the average amount of water vapour in the atmosphere. Please, do correct me if I'm wrong. I would very much enjoy seeing that evidence. So ther eis no evidence to support the claim that the hidden warming is going into latent heat.

Stop lying , please, for your own sake stop lying.

But I know you are just grasping at straws and literally making things up.

And it is obvious now that none of the warmists on this forum will actually spend the money to get the journal subscriptions that are necessary to keep up with the science. You literally do not read the science. You personally have no idea what is happening. And by your own admissions you just believe what you are fed. It really is pathetic to see grown men putting their faith in these stories. Science was supposed to set men free from religion, but it seems that it has failed with the catastrophic manmade global warming hoax.

Mate, you seriously have no clue what your talking about, and argue even against the man-made global warming alarmist and 97% consensus you support.

All the man-made global warming alarmist, because there have been no warming in 17.5yrs have said that the heat is hiding in the oceans and heating the oceans (no cooling).

ocean acidification
Mate, I'm old enough to remember the 1980's environmentalist and scientist alarm over pollution and acid rain, and how that was going to kill all the forests in the world in our lifetime.

The oceans PH level is currently 8.1 and has only fallen from PH 8.2 in 20yrs. In case you don't remember you high school science, that makes the oceans overall Alkaline. PH of 7 is neutral and normal water. PH levels below 6 are acid.

More BS man-made global warming alarmism, like the acid rain of 30yrs ago.

Stop listening to the alarmists and learn something for yourself. Use you brain.

Whenever anyone responds to a post IN CAPITALS their anger and ignorance diminishes the value of their input into the argument. There is a scientific consensus about climate change, get over it.
Don't worry, there is no consensus actually. That is BS from Al Gore's movie.

And I'd prefer being on the side that believes in Solar Activity and solar cycles controlling climate, not the man-made CO2 BS were the predictions are consistently inaccurate and the "consensus" keep changing their story as to why their alarmist scenarios don't eventuate.
Keep listening to you man-made warming inaccurate BS. I'll look at the real measured data and make my own decisions.

You IPCC predictions - ALL wrong.

You are mistaken, ice can absorb a lot of heat without raising the temperature above 0 Celcius and without altering state to water, that was my point. I must have articulated it poorly as you completely misunderstood it.

Happy to correct you on that point, now perhaps you might understand.

I don't believe that I'm insane, but if you think that I am I'll take that as a compliment.

investor888 - So you know more than the CSIRO on this issue - is that your message.

I don't buy it and I doubt that many others do either.

The sea ice itself will have to rise in temperature too. You see latent heat doesn't just come out of nowhere. It is absorbed by the surrounding environment. This environment is the ice, water, and air. The latent heat is only used at the point of state change. Prior to that, you will see measurable changes in ambient temperature. This is simple science. If you want to understand it better then study how an airconditioner works.

So where are the studies showing that there is a rise in temperature of the ice, water, or air? The heat must come from somewhere!

I just don't buy into all the alarm, and CO2 man-made global warming rubbish. It's the SUN, and the weakening solar activity will lead to cooling in the 2020's and 2030's.

The oceans have a PH of 8.1. Pure water is PH7. Normal rain is PH 5.6. That make NORMAL RAIN 400-500 times MORE acidic than the oceans (As PH is a logarithmic scale like richter scale for earth quakes). Even if the ocean PH level dropped to 7.6, that would still make normal rain 100 times more acidic that the oceans (2 logarithmic scale difference).
Acid rain in PH 3-4, or 1000-10000 times more acidic than the current oceans.

Hey, if oceans became more "acidic" as the alarmist feak out about, they would drop from PH 8.1 to 7, or pure water level.

This was quite literally the response I would give to a 'denier' when I believed the catastrophic manmade global warming hoax. Then I did some research and learned about statistical modelling. Never again will I be so gullible.

Correct, even the IPCC have their tail between their legs and have admitted there have been NO warming in 17yrs (despite their models predicting continued rises).

But keep believing what you will you fool. The IPCC now agree that there has been no warming for 17yrs, but now their excuse is that the trend has to continue for 30yrs to prove anything. Meanwhile, ALL their models are more and more inaccurate by the year, and all the models show continued temperature rises.

So keep listening to all the man-made global warming BS, and alarmism. Non of it is coming to fruition. Even the scientists are questioning the alarm, and inaccurate models.
See ya you fricken nutcase. :bye: :bye: It's over man. The whole man-made global warming CO2 BS is over as the world will head into a cooling period with weakening solar activity in the 2020's and 2030's. The smart scientists will know this and jump ship before the whole CO2 BS goes down.

Met Office Data Shows Global Warming Standstill As IPCC Confirms Global Temperature Has Stopped Rising

A footnote in the new report also confirms there has been no statistically significant increase since 1997.

At a press conference to launch the report in Stockholm, the IPCC refused to say how long the pause would have to go on before casting doubt on the models, suggesting trends were only meaningful if they lasted 30 years. But some of the report’s authors are less confident.

Piers Forster, Leeds University’s Professor of Physical Climate Change, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘If it does get beyond 20 years, that would get very interesting.

‘We would have to revisit the models. As it goes on, it would get more and more peculiar.’

Quote:

That, said Prof Judith Curry, head of climate science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is a high-risk strategy: ‘The IPCC has thrown down the gauntlet. Should the pause continue, she said, ‘they are toast’.

She was critical about the report’s statement that confidence humans had caused most of the warming of the 20th Century had increased from 90 per cent in the last IPCC report in 2007 to 95 per cent.

‘How they can justify this is beyond me.’

Ah so if there is no global warming there will be no rising sea levels, is that correct. After all why would the sea levels rise if ice isn't melting.

What is your view on that?
