I'm afraid that sort of concept is virtual nonsense.
Most of the carbon is locked away in rock formations. Growing a few trees will make bugger all difference. Within a reasonable period of time the tree will die and rot losing its minimal carbon inventory into the the hydrosphere. A carbon sink would be better such as a peat bog.
Yes, I agree, though I posed the situation as an example of the way that the market system could incentivise the creation of methods to curtail emissions.
By using it, you have shot yourself in the foot with your argument...

Beginning on January 2, the breakdown of the polar vortex and subsequent southward movement of tropospheric Arctic air was caused by sudden stratospheric warming (SSW), a phenomenon discovered in 1952.

Possible role of anthropogenic climate change
Research on a possible connection between individual extreme weather events and long-term anthropogenic climate change is new and the topic of scientific debate. Prior to the events of January 2014, several studies on the connection between extreme weather and the polar vortex were published suggesting a link between climate change and increasingly extreme temperatures experienced by mid-latitudes (e.g., central North America). This phenomenon can be understood to result from the rapid melting of polar sea ice, which replaces white, reflective ice with dark, absorbent open water (i.e., the albedo of this region has decreased). As a result, the region has heated up faster than other parts of the globe. With the lack of a sufficient temperature difference between Arctic and southern regions to drive jet stream winds, the jet stream may have become weaker and more variable in its course, allowing cold air usually confined to the poles to reach further into the mid latitudes.
This jet stream instability brings warm air north as well as cold air south. The patch of unusual cold over the eastern United States was matched by anomalies of mild winter temperatures across Greenland and much of the Arctic north of Canada, and unusually warm conditions in Alaska. A stationary high pressure ridge over the North Pacific Ocean kept California unusually warm and dry for the time of year, worsening ongoing drought conditions there.
Research has led to a good documentation of the frequency and seasonality of sudden warmings: just over half of the winters since 1960 have experienced a major warming event in January or February". According to Charlton and Polvani SSW in the Arctic has occurred during 60% of the winters since 1948 and 48% of these SSW events have led to the splitting of the polar vortex, leading to the same type of Arctic cold front that happened in January 2014.
A 2001 study found that "there is no apparent trend toward fewer extreme cold events on either continent over the 1948–99 period, although a long station history suggests that such events may have been more frequent in the United States during the late 1800s and early 1900s." A 2009 MIT study found that such events are increasing and may be caused by the rapid loss of the Arctic ice pack.
SSW events of similar magnitude occurred in 1985 in North America, and in 2009 and 2010 in Europe.
If you can find a scientific peer-reviewed paper supporting your stance, I will read it, happily. So far though, you have failed to provide one shred of evidence that your stance is the correct one. Not surprising really, you have already admitted to being a high school dropout.

Unfortunately it has buckleys of working. All the the carbon schemes you like could be created. The end result is Goldman Sachs would be enriched while annual carbon emissions rose anyway.
You only have to look at the history of finance.
The only cure for the disease called humanity is extinction!
The next trick of our glorious banks will be to charge us a fee for using net bank!!! You are no longer customer, you are property!!!
And how does the MtGox bankruptcy have anything to do with the thread topic?

Warming causes melt of northern ice, fresh water disturbs oceanic circulation paterns stoping the warm current that flows around northern atlantic, further effects occur in overlying atmosphere and a mini iceage occurs throughout europe/ northern europe.
Southern hemisphere may continue to warm, but long term trend is to regulate global temperatures.
I have long liked this theory as it is awesomely gaiaesque!
WHAT WOULD EDDIE DO? MAAAATE! Share a cot with Milton?
Good news everyone! We'll have exhausted useable fossil fuels before we cause complete catastrophic climate change.
Bad news everyone! End of economic growth.
But economic growth won't end until those fossil fuel reserves are gone. We simply can't. Economic growth is extremely addictive. We'll grow until we are forced to stop.
And how does the MtGox bankruptcy have anything to do with the thread topic?
I know you are just pulling my chain, but i like it. I know that no human can possibly be as stupid as you make out, but it feeds my sick fantasies. Thank you. Peter
Congratulations, you are now on ignore, having admitted that you are a troll. A bái mù, as the Chinese say.
This is not a win for you, this is a loss, as you have admitted to blindly talking nonsense.

Ok, Pay the global warming green house gas tax and the good government people will send a space ship to the sun and ask the man who lives on the sun to turn the temperature down a little for you darling. All better now? Or will the government officials go to Thailand on a fact finding mission to see if they can revers cowboy a couple of ladyboys on a tax payer funded junket? Peter Not sure if the ladyboys are taking bit coins any more. Bugger me, don't tell me the Australian government exchanged all their green house carbon tax money for bit coins??? I wonder if the ladyboy's pay a green house gas tax on their breast implants. Hey, hey wait a minute, wait a minute i have got it, why don't we make breast implants for Thai ladyboys out of carbon?? Kill two birds with one stone. Super intelligent. Pay for it with bit coin IOU's. I wonder does the man who lives on the sun like Thai ladyboys?? We can do this. Hairy monkey can do it. Turn sun down with bit coins. Fuck yeah. Crops need Brawndo.
Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
