Thanks Frank, very interesting. Qld is Australia's second largest state and it has a hugh coastline. There will be many current towns and cities and perhaps some additional undeveloped potential ports that might service the rich mining and pastoral areas of Qld.
I don't see a lot of potential for inland cities to spring up, but certainly coastal cities could grow.
Any expressed market opinion is my own and is not to be taken as financial advice
and by 1990 no Australian child shall be living in poverty.
And property prices will drop by 40% to 70%

somersoft.com nhg: I work on bypass projects for a living. Every town I have seen has died off...
TMNT: there is the muswellbrook bypass which I was more having a look at, just seems like bad news for the town. Plus there is a reference to muswellbrook in this months property magazine which makes it sound like its about to boom, when the truth couldnt be any further in my opinion. http://somersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85821
Shadow was hopelessly wrong about the Gold Bull Market. What else is he wrong about?
No, not really, all pie in the sky stuff and 2011 news is news no more, do try to keep up old man. You know that it was proposed and that Brad Carter isnt the mayor any more and where would they have found the $650 million needed ?
What they actually have done to mitigate flood problems is raised the road into rocky, so I think your bypass bullshit is a dead duck chump
Quote:
The Yeppen North Project will ultimately integrate with the Yeppen South Project which will raise the flood immunity of the Bruce Highway between the Burnett Highway turnoff (3km south of Rockhampton) and the Yeppen Roundabout, reducing the impact of flooding on this vital route into Rockhampton from the south.
And Yeppen south is happening, linking up with Yeppen North
Quote:
The primary objective of the Yeppen South project is to minimise isolation (due to flooding) of Rockhampton and Northern Queensland from Southern Queensland during moderate and major flood events in the region.
The Yeppen South project will provide a new elevated crossing of the Bruce Highway across the Yeppen Floodplain at a Q100 level (1 in 100 year flood level) from the Burnett Highway intersection to the Yeppen roundabout. The project adjoins the Yeppen North project and will complete a Q100 Bruce Highway crossing of the Yeppen Floodplain. http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Projects/Name/Y/Yeppen-South-Project.aspx

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.
