Chinese man kills himself after girlfriend won't stop shopping
The Chinese man was fed up with his girlfriend's five-hour shopping spree, throwing himself over the balcony of a local mall after she wanted to go to one more shoe store, authorities said.
A Chinese man jumped seven stories to his death after eyewitnesses said his girlfriend refused to stop shopping. Tao Hsiao, 38, had been shopping with his girlfriend at the Golden Eagle International Shopping Center in Xuzhou, China, when she asked to go to one more shoe store, according to Gawker.
The pair had been browsing the stores for five hours. That's when, police say, Tao reached his limit.
"He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more," an eyewitness said, according to the Daily Mail. "She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas. It was a really heated argument."
The fight ended when Tao tossed the pair's shopping bags and jumped over a balcony, smashing into Christmas decorations before hitting the floor below, Chinese news site Hexun.com reported.
Tao was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
Yeah, I read about this unfortunate incident a few days ago...seems very extreme behavior really, surely must of been some issues....
Generally, some of us females do like to take the time to shop, try things on & do the umm & ahhh, but I would NEVER bring hubs he thinks the shopping experiences is a waste of time.
He once made the danger of commenting the number of bikinis I have ...well that was Ww3, he never mentioned it again, I like nice things.... Yes some of you men work to pay plenty...
You men sort the cars, fishing , home maintenance etc fix up whatever... Just leave the feminine stuff with us to sort out.. Happy Harmony As long as one can afford it... Not hurting anyone to maintain the flaunting...
Newjerk? can you try harder than dig up another person's blog. My first promo was with Billabong and my name in English is modified with a T, am Perth born but also lived in Sydney to make my $$ It's Absolutely Fabulous if it includes brilliant locations, & high calibre tenants..what more does one want? Understand the power of the two "P"" or be financially challenged Even better when there is family who are property mad and one is born in some entitlements.....Understand that beautiful women are the exhibitionists we crave attention, whilst hot blooded men are the voyeurs ... A stunning woman can command and takes pleasure in being noticed. Seems not too many understand what it means to hold and own props and get threatened by those who do. Banks are considered to be law abiding and & rather boring places yeah not true . A bank balance sheet will show capital is dwarfed by their liabilities this means when a portions of loans is falling its problems for the bank.
I confess that I walked out on my wife once at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown after about 5 hours of shopping for her clothes. I just couldn't take one more boutique or shoe store. It took about a week for her to talk to me again, but I've never had to do any shopping for clothes since, and that's a bonus. Short term pain - long term gain.
I used to get asked to go grocery shopping as well. My tactic for that was to start shoving all of the expensive foods and snacks that I like in the shopping trolley which blew out her budget worse than the Zimbabwe national debt. Women like to save a bit and tuck it away for something special for themselves, and I messed up all of her plans.
I no longer get asked to help with the grocery shopping either, although I do help carry it into the house.
That's my confession for the day.

Mine just cant do it. Refuses to. Hates shopping and spending money in general unless there is a definite benefit, buying her bubbles in 10 carton lots for one.
But when we are in the land of cheap tailors she takes in a trusty favorite and says 7 of these, 7 of these and seven of these. I do the same with my stuff, so we are always dressed well, for next to nothing. Quick measure up and we're out and off the beach for Mohito's and daiquiris.
Same with her makeup, in the 20+ years we have been together its been the 1 lipstick, one eye-shadow, 1 mascara and one foundation, rarely worn. Shoes, wardrobe wouldn't have any more than 7 pairs and two of those are blingy thongs.
Its good in someways and sucks in others, I finally got a dishwasher in here about 18mths ago after 10 years of not doing the dishes subtle hints. Now how to get that A/c ???

I was once told (by a Chinese lady) that if you *really* want to impress a Chinese lady, then you tag along with her shopping and give tactful feedback on everything she tries on. Believe it or not, women know exactly how painful this is for men, so this very public suffering not only tells her how much you care, it tells every other woman in the shop/mall how much her man is prepared to put up with to keep her sweet, which is big face for her. She'll definitely be hoping that some of the bitches colleagues from the office happen to see her having such a big win.
Despite that, I have never able to do a good job of this. I hate shopping that much. I will relatively happily wander around the mall looking in windows while she shops though.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off. --Gloria Steinem AREPS™
