and a house price crash makes this gap bigger, not smaller

ffs what is so hard about this for you?

talk about an own goal.

house prices crashed in the USA, and people are poorer and can't even afford houses for even 10K.

what is that telling you about the impact it would have here???
Once again how is that my fault? I didn't create the bubble, the likes of you did. :re:

Frank Castle is a liar and a criminal. He will often deliberately take people out of context and use straw man arguments.
Frank finally and unintentionally gives it up and admits he got where he is, primarily via dumb luck!

But what does it mean for house prices?
House prices have nothing to do with homelessness, housing for workers or building costs. Houses and housing is purely a plaything for those with money to invest in and speculate on. Along of course with making money for banksters.

The house price crash in the US was the logical and only possible conclusion of a gigantic heist perpetuated on the American people by a small elite in the US financial industry and its agents in Government.
thank you for tackling a point i never made.

Its totally untrue btw to blame the crash, inequality in the US has been growing for decades, the crash was the logical conclusion of a FIRE economy on roids that contained the seeds of its own destruction.

You are confusing cause and effect quite spectacularly.
I don't blame the crash for inequality.

i'm saying it makes the situation WORSE, and so is not something to wish for if you give a fuck about peoples financial welfare.

oh child, no one gives a shit who you want to blame.

the important thing is what are you going to do about it. so far your plan seems to revolve around whinging on internet forums.

go ahead and like stuff on facebook, i'm sure it will help.

Obama said that less-affluent children are behind by the time they start school because they have heard about 30 million fewer words than peers from higher-income families. Experts say studies clearly support Obama’s point.

Australian Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Australian and global real estate markets and macroeconomics, including house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a property crash. Is there an Australian housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is the Australian property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices really rise forever? These are the questions we address on Australian Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators. Members may also discuss matters related to finance, modern monetary theory (MMT), debt deflation, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Ethereum and Ripple, property investing, landlords, tenants, debt consolidation, reverse home equity loans, the housing shortage, negative gearing, capital gains tax, land tax and macro prudential regulation.

Forum Rules: The main forum may be used to discuss property, politics, economics and finance, precious metals, crypto currency, debt management, generational divides, climate change, sustainability, alternative energy, environmental topics, human rights or social justice issues, and other topics on a case by case basis.
